Asking God to meet our needs is pointless & futile.

Lack or limitation of any kind only exists in the hypnotic dream of material life; never in the real life is there any lack or limitation simply because God can never be anything but Infinite Abundance.
If we have any lack or limitation in our material life - whether finances, health or other - we do not know God aright, and we are not living in the Kingdom of God that is freely ours to enjoy.
Therefore, we must not pray to God to meet our needs - there is noone to hear such prayers. We must instead, ask ourselves why we are not living in God’s Kingdom, and therein is the answer to our prayer and our need.
- Joel Goldsmith (paraphrased from “Invisible Supply”)
The birds of the air and flowers of the field do not ASK the Father to meet their needs - they simply abide in the goodness and abundance of Creator and thereby experience and demonstrate God’s never-ending and pre-existing supply.
- Jesus (paraphrased from Matthew 6)
If the birds never run out of bugs to eat, and flowers never lack for sunshine, rain and soil nutrients, then why the heck are we humans always so needy?
Ahhh - it’s simply because we have separated ourselves from Infinite Source and believe the error that the material world is our source. Doesn’t that sound like Adam’s decision in Eden? “I don’t want all this stuff Creator has provided for me; I’m going to go get a job and take care of myself,” Adam decided.
We are ‘eating’ from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil which produces ‘death’ and lack and limitation (even when it may look ‘good’). Instead, we should be enjoying ‘every tree and it’s fruit I have given to you for food.’
I’m arranging a group trip back to Eden - the real ‘Holy Land.’ Wanna join us?

I’ve come to redefine “sin” as simply what you describe… “separation”. When we are living in sin, we are actually living in a state of separation from God. I’m NOT saying that our sin separates us from God, but rather that our separation from God—infinite supply—IS actually what is meant by the concept of sin in the Bible. Sin is NOT (as we were all taught) a list of actions or errant behavior; it is simply living in a state of separation from God. So in that sense, Jesus did come to “save us from our sin”. He came to show us what it looks like to live completely and totally connected to God in every way. And in that sense, I realize that I have much “sin” in my life. Too much separation from God’s infinite supply. But I’m learning!
Yes, most of us tend to live our lives separated from God to some extent or another. I myself have the same ’sin’ in my life and do not therefore experience the full goodness of God as I should/could. But, I AM getting there and moving on my journey to fullness in Him (or, It).
So right! So right! I have lived in that “seperated” state for far too long, but am now learning, it was my own self-made “hell,” primarily through my very own spoken words; creating negative laws for myself to live under. Even to the “law” of tithing and giving. I had that so messed up, so unrealistic. Yes, we are all learning, anew, as we develop into the Christ mindedness we were created for.
